Built in 1810, for Francesco Melzi d'Eril, Villa Melzi was designed by Giocondo Albertolli, Villa Melzi is famous for it's Japanese garden and is a monument to Beatrice of G.B. Comolli and Dante. It is a splended neoclassic residence with an Azaleas flight of steps in front of the villa.
The outer structural construction emphasizes on Roman, Etruscan, and Egyptian sculptural engravings, to the left of the entrance you can see an Etruscan cinerary that dates back to the 3rd century BC. The interiors of the villa are embellished by classic wooden furniture, sculptures, painting collections, and frescos. Entrance to the villa is prohibited. Only the exterior and the garden are opened for the tourists.
